Renu Contact Solution Information

Approximately 30 million Americans enjoy the benefits of soft contact lenses, and many of them use one or more various lens solutions on a regular basis. They depend on these products and on the companies who make them to help protect their vision. ReNu contact solution with Moisture Loc was introduced to the market in late 2004 by Bausch & Lomb.

This product was developed for soft contact lens wearers to condition their lenses to retain moisture while remaining clean for daily use. Close to 2 million people have given their trust to this contact lens solution. However, there have been recent reports that the product has been linked to a recent worldwide outbreak of Fusarium keratitis.

According to the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), more than 30% of the Fusarium keratitis cases identified in the United States since the onset of ReNu-generated infections have required corneal transplantation surgery. Some experts have predicted that this figure will increase, and may ultimately reach 50%.

Bausch & Lomb, the manufacturer of ReNu with MoistureLoc, has acknowledged the link between the use of their product and the recent global upsurge in fungal eye infections, and has recently implemented a permanent recall recommending that consumers stop using the product immediately. Users of ReNu with MoistureLoc have suffered serious eye injuries, ranging from permanent damage to the cornea to total blindness, leaving corneal transplant as the only viable treatment option.

If you or someone you love has used ReNu contact solution with Moisture Loc and has suffered from Fusarium keratitis, serious eye damages, blindness, or had a corneal transplant, please contact our service immediately so that we can put you in touch with legal professionals who are specialized with ReNu Contact Solution information and litigation.
